2024 Prize Day

On the 8th of August 2024, students from the 2024 Strengthening Democracy Project were treated to a packed day in the political centre of Wellington.  

The day started with meeting Greg O'Connor at Parliament, who took them on a tour of the debating chamber and the theatrette.

Next was a meeting with Green Party representatives, followed by a tour of Parliament buildings. From there, the students met with the Chief Ombudsman, Peter Boshier.  They then went to Justice Stephen Kós at the Supreme court where they had a tour of the court buildings. 

Then it was back to Parliament for a meeting with the National party representatives.
